Master Key Mastermind – Week 9

November 22, 2021 to November 28, 2021

In lesson nine Haanel writes that there are only three things to be desired – health, wealth and love – and the way to find them or bring them into your life is to visualize them. Visualization is the Master Key to manifesting one’s desires.

As with any skill, visualization is mastered through practice and repetition. It is a result of the imagination. The more details that one can imagine and incorporate into the visualization, the more powerful it is and the more likely it is to become a physical reality.

Two of the three desires are my personal pivotal needs (PPNs) for the Master Key Experience and are part of my definite major purpose (DMP). They are interconnected and overlap because our lives are not compartmentalized into just health, just wealth and just love. So, some of the images on the movie poster help me to visualize multiple desires simultaneously.

I love the idea of combinations of modes of learning! It is fun to think of different ways to combine the different learning methods together.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 8

November 15, 2021 to November 21, 2021

I am still working on that seven day mental diet. One can’t expect to turn a large ship on a dime. I live in a major urban area and find one of the hardest parts of the day to banish negative thoughts is my commute to and from work. Many of the drivers, cyclists and pedestrians here do not seem to know the basic rules of the road. That increases the level of alertness needed for even a short trip. The stories I could tell of the outrageous “stunts” I have observed. Anyway, I find myself thinking many negative thoughts on my way to and from work. I have had more difficulty finding a positive thought to replace the negative thought in these situations.

The MKE readings and habits have helped to replace many negative thoughts with positive thoughts. Over time I have noticed a gradual shift in my general outlook. I expect this trend to continue, especially as my desires become manifest.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 7

November 8, 2021 to November 14, 2021

“It is the thoughts you allow yourself to think, the subjects that you allow your mind to dwell upon, which make you and your surroundings what they are.” – Emmet Fox

I have come across this idea before in the form of using positive affirmations to enact positive changes in one’s life. However, those instances were not as thorough as the Master Key Experience is. The bombardment of one’s subconscious from every direction and every form of stimulation leaves the subconscious no choice whatsoever but to implement one’s heartfelt desire.

I have experienced the opposite of what Emmet Fox proposes – a negative environment caused by negative thoughts – and so I do believe that what he proposes is also true. I am determined to accomplish what he calls a “seven day mental diet.” Besides our minds being programmed for millenia to recall negative experiences in order to survive, my life has been shaped by negative experiences. Although I don’t focus on them, they have affected in a fundamental way how I live my life and how I perceive the world. This will be a challenge. I enjoy challenges.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 6

November 1, 2021 to November 7, 2021

Connections

It’s all about connections, connections of seemingly unrelated items. Connecting shapes and colors to certain goals. And then creating different versions of one’s goals – a long, detailed one, a shorter one with just highlights, one looking back from the future at the goals accomplished, and one that is mostly in visual form on a poster. Placing copies of those versions in places where one spends time and sees them.

Repetition

Repeatedly reading and speaking some of these versions every day, while visualizing and imprinting the images in one’s mind. Repeating the messages to one’s subconscious mind. The exercises are repeated every day. Reading the master key lesson and doing the exercise contained in it. Reading the scroll three times; once aloud. Reading the blueprint builder aloud. Reading the definite major purpose, in its different forms.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 5

October 25, 2021, to October 31, 2021

This week has been a real challenge. I’m supposed to write a press release based on my definite major purpose (DMP) except my definite major purpose is nowhere near being acceptable to the powers that be. At the rate of one turnaround a week, it might not ever be ready. I am trying to make the requested revisions, but I am not a wordsmith. Words are not my thing. That could be a problem considering that “…accuracy in building words and sentences is the highest form of architecture in civilization and is a passport to success.”

Already the DMP has morphed from an ideal vision of one’s life to a set of S.M.A.R.T. goals. Are these goals supposed to be short-term or long-term? Are they supposed to be achievable in the time frame of the Master Key Experience? What if my vision of my ideal life or the set of goals it has become is not achievable in six months?

Am I supposed to provide intentions or methods for the subconscious mind? Isn’t the subconscious mind supposed to figure out the methods necessary to achieve the intentions? I keep being asked for more details. I provide them and am told there must be more details. What kind of details? I am not trying to be difficult. I just don’t understand what they are asking for. The format being used is not really a two-way communication format, which adds to my frustration.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 4

October 18, 2021 to October 24, 2021

This week has been something of a rollercoaster ride. First, I thought I was making progress on my definite major purpose (DMP). However, this week it was critiqued by a substitute guide and essentially sent me back to square one. Should I continue to tweak what I have or completely rewrite it? Part of this week’s exercise is to “mentally let go of all adverse conditions, such as hatred, anger, worry, jealousy, envy, sorrow, trouble or disappointment of any kind.” So, I will let go of the negative feelings I have about that response and then determine the answer to my question.

The rest of the repetitions and readings are going fine. The materials and ideas are continuing to sink in to my subconscious mind and affect my outward actions. I am making sure to do everything I have promised. This builds and reinforces the concept of manifestation of my thoughts.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 3

October 11, 2021 to October 17, 2021

The repeated tasks are continuing to impress upon my subcounscious mnd. This week a new minor task was chosen for the “chore” card. I learned from last week to find a very easy chore to complete and I finished it on Monday. I continued to read the chore after I finished it and felt good that I had completed it. A summary of my current goals must be added to the other card. It is becoming more of a routine to do the daily readings and the other required tasks of the program.

The Master Key lesson for this week talks about the physical connection between the conscious and subconscious minds. How the vagus nerve runs from the brain to the solar plexus and connects the two. The term “solar plexus” comes from the Latin words ‘solaris’ and ‘plectere’ which mean “of or from the sun” and “to braid,” respectively. The name came about because of the appearance of the radial network of nerves seems like the rays of the sun. The solar plexus is also likened to the sun because it radiates energy. The exercise for this week continues to build upon the exercises of the previous weeks. It adds relaxation to keeping still, quiet and inhibiting one’s thoughts. Relaxation enables the solar plexus to function optimally.

The other significant addition this week was the association of S.M.A.R.T. goals to my life goals. S.M.A.R.T. stands for smart, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely. So, this week saw a pretty significant rewrite of my goals since they weren’t in SMART form. And I needed to focus them into two specific areas that are important to me at this time. As a character in an old TV show used to say, “I love it when a plan comes together!”

Master Key Mastermind – Week 2

October 4, 2021 to October 10, 2021

In the second week the repetitive tasks from the first week continue and new tasks are added. As I am continuing to read the passages two or three times a day, they are beginning to become familiar. I am sure they are beginning to embed themselves in my subconscious. This week two index cards were added to the items to be repeatedly read or acknowledged. One has a minor task that I promise to complete sometime during the week. The other card has a command on it that I repeat 25 times twice a day.

The Master Key lessons include exercises. The first week’s exercise was to sit still for 15-30 minutes. One could let their mind wander. This was to develop control over one’s body. This week’s exercise builds upon last week’s. One is to remain still and inhibit all thought. This is to develop control over one’s thoughts. Initially for most people, this will only be possible for a few moments because most people have a continuous stream of 50,000 to 70,000 conscious thoughts per day. Whew!

While I am committed to this program, it has been challenging to complete all of the tasks required. Part of this is my subconscious mind resisting change. My conscious mind wants this change to happen. So, I will continue to complete the tasks as best I can. I am looking forward to changing my subconscious mind’s default assumptions.

Master Key Mastermind – Week 1

September 27, 2021 to October 3, 2021

The journey begins with the master key system. I am benefitting already from the previous students of this system who decided to pay it forward and pay for the tuition of this cohort’s students! I really appreciate that and it keeps me committed to sticking with the program.

As with any course or program, the first day or week includes a lot of introductory information – what supplies are needed, what the expected tasks are and a basic outline or syllabus of how the course will proceed. So, we are expected to read parts of The Greatest Salesman in the World three times a day. Another task that is to be repeated each day is reading out loud our vision for our life as we want it to be as if it is already so. Writing this blog is another task that is required. At least one post per week is expected.

The repetition helps to imprint the ideas into our subconscious mind. Much (most?) of what happens in our lives is determined by the ideas circulating in our subconscious mind! So, if we have more positive thoughts in our subconscious, then there will be more positive events in our lives.

The first week is almost over. I have been doing these repetitive exercises/tasks for a few days now. The field is being plowed and prepared for the planting. Tomorrow or Saturday the materials and requirements for the second week will be distributed. And I will be introduced to my guide for the course.

Welcome!
